I have shot stuff all my life (no people- eating animals yes- slings, slingshots, bows/arrows and GUNS). I am a school teacher (read not much money) and know SOME science. Now, reloading I have always thought would be fun- and then I found I was having trouble buying ammo! So, being a Southern boy, I am willing to go to the copper mines of Gaul and collect material to make brass, make gun cotton- have already collected wheel weights- SO I CAN SHOOT. I am a newbie and cannot afford many mistakes. I intend to read all that I can get my hands on and talk to folks in the OKC area. Started with a Dillon 550- and 45 acp- doing 308 next, then 9, then 308, and of course my swedish mauser.- forgot my Makarov and my SKS/mini 30!
You guys seem like a down to earth bunch which is always the best place to begin to learn.

hola amigo ! and welcome aboard ! a scientist ? cool now about gun cotton.... forget it ..... think of primers !!!!!!!!! lolz ,sadly it's notthe best time to get into reloading ( especially when one doesnt have much funds )cast handgun bullets is a cheap way to start and most of us have found that there's always something else to learn ...( now about those primers ....lolz just teasin amigo ...sorta )it's the people who make the site the way it is both the members and the staff and we thrive on discussion so jump right in there !
