Welcome to the board. Handloading is a great way to feed your firearms without a trip to the poorhouse. It is also a whole lot of fun. Lot's of experience and knowledge around here, and folks always willing to help. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Welcome to the forum,

We have many threads on reloading and a recently one about dangerous mistakes. Over all we practice safe reloading.

What do you like to shoot?

Again welcome,

Jerry

hola amigo ! and welcome aboard ! umm fair warning ? reloading is even more addicting than shooting lolz ( and i too found the board on google !):Googleit: reloading isnt for everybody but if a person has a mind to want to they usually can ,and safety does indeed pay !!! ( i dont think i can ever state that enough !! ) if ur serious get a good reloading book like a lyman or a hornady etc ,u'll need it later on and they have a wealth of info ! and remember - we thrive on discussion so dont be shy about posting !

Welcome DC, another real good reason for reloading is that ammunition may someday be very hard to come by. If you have a "reasonable" supply of components then your shooters will have something to feed on. A rifle/pistol makes a poor club if out of "food"- lol. E bay just had a nice "O" style lyman press for $30 go through. Look around and there are bargains to be had. If you have lots of "jingle" then go to some of the threads on reloading here for good scoop on brands/styles of new equipment. Best to you and glad you dropped in. Keep us posted on your equipment and progress, wc

Jerry, I shoot most .308, .357/38 special, .45, and 9mm Thanks for the information on the thread.

Really the only problem is trying to convince the significant other. She grew up anti gun and just doesn't understand it. I have been reading on it since I bought my .308 so it is just a matter of convincing her. lol

Thanks for all the information so far! Everyone

if u can get her out enjoying shooting ( such as wadcutters in a 38 ..or even a 22 plinking cans)u'll have a much easier time of it , gotta make it fun tho ,i've learned that few kids really enjoy shooting paper but if they can make a tin can dance combined with positive praise they'll be hooked for life ,my last g/f didnt care for guns either at first but a few safety lessons then the first trip to the range she was hooked, oddly enough she liked the lil short compact carry 45 best,go figure as it kicked the hardest of all i took lolz we did work her up to it...now if i could of only gotten her interested in reloading ......she was right proud of herself at the end of the day too and rightly so and her ear to ear grin was worth it ! takes a bit of patience so hang in there amigo !

Oh I have started the process. In fact we went today. This will make the second time. Kinda scared me her first time to shoot .38 special she had a nice little grouping right in the middle of the bulls eye. She doesn't like much over .38 though, but she shoots it well.

DC that is cool that youc an get her shooting. I am getting my wife doing more of it, but she doesn't like loud and big recoil, so we do the 22 and I got her a .223 rifle. The big thing in converting someone is not to push so hard as to push them away.

Welcome to the board, enjoy and don't be shy about asking questions.

Have a good one, Guy
