Just wanted to say Hello, I'll get my control panel data up to snuff in a few days (maybe over the weekend if I get lucky).
Not new to loading, or message boards (belong to several boating boards), but certainly new to this one, looking fwd. to it.
From Kansas, most of my life, I hunt, and boat, and ride motorcycles (since age 6), load my own hunting ammo, and my IDPA competition ammo. Retired Air National Guard, and I build airplanes for a living.
Been known to enjoy an adult libation or two (but never when riding the bikes, or messing with guns & ammo).
12 and 20 gauge (soon to add 10-gauge), .308 Win. rifle for my BAR, (have a project planned for 7.62x57R), load .38, .357, 9mm Parabellum (Luger), and, mostly, .45acp (my main competition and carry calibre).
Oh, and, as you will soon see, I have virtually no decent typing skills.
The typo-monster is strong in this one.
Well, see ya'all arround.

What kind of scooter??? What is a 57R?? I have a few old Mosins. Do you have a 54R set of dies you can get rid of?? Looking for a set. wc

-6, well, I have a sneaking suspicion that, if I look closer at the Mosin's ammo, it may very well be 7.62x54R , but, if I do, i'll feel a wee bit on the stupid side of silly for getting it wrong.
My only "excuse" is I haven't tinkered with it much. Am slowly eating down the 440 round block of European GI ball, haven't gotten any dies, or reloadable brass for it yet, it IS, after all, a "project". LOL.
Thx for the reminder on the calibre, I do apreciate it.
I work on Learjets, built them new from '96 untill 2007, when I transfered to Cust. Serv., and started working component repair & overhaul. Very nice plane, and very well built, but, I do admit to an itty bitty bias there.
fryboy, Happy Haloween to you as well. My "double edged sword" living in the country as I do, is that, while I can literally deer hunt from my yard (shoot clay pidgeons too), no-one comes to T-o-T @ our house, so any candy wifeypoo buys, I wind up having to eat.
And I love to get in scarry costumes, but, nobody to spook arround home. Oh well.
Fortunately, I have a tiny bit of self controll to counter the sweet-tooth the size of Montana., or I'd be the size of Montana.
Rockydog & WildBill it was a good 20+ years, but, it was time to call it done, as with all things. I just wasn't enjoying it as much as I needed to to carry on properly.
You do need to not be very distracted for Air Force Security, or you could wind up reaching ambient temp, a feat I keep trying to avoid, and have been successful at, so far. The job has it's moments, lots of quiet ones, AND a few "adrenaline-loaded" ones.
I don't "wear it on a sleeve", but, it was what it was, a part time job I did for 2 decades, and enjoyed, without complaint (well, it IS the right of the enlisted man to complain ) I'm no better than anyone else for it, it does "color" a few of my views on a few items, as to be expected I suppose.
It DID get me some "frequent flier miles" in late '01, thru '03, and a "vacation" (of sorts) from Learjet, for 23 months or so.
Retired @ E$-7, Master Sargent, and my C.O. spoke kindly of me @ my retirement, so I didn't manage to screw up too badly over the years.
