Newb Canadian here - just north of the border of Malone, NY. I've been reloading a couple of years now and last year I had my first custom rifle built. It's a short action Stiller Predator; 1 in 9 twist, stainless, #4 contour, Krieger barrel; and Robertson Composites hunter stock. It's chambered in 260 Remington.

My intent is to develop a coyote load that will eliminate the need for my .223. But none of my manuals have data for a Speer 90gr TNT HP, so I searched the web for "260 rem loads" and hit this site.

Looking forward to participating!

The 260 is an underrated cartridge in many circles.Use a starting load for a heavier bullet on the faster side of the powder scale and work up.And WELCOME!!

Thanks for the welcome guys - and to 'geezer for the load tip.

Cheers,

Yep, the way to go.

My Hornady manual lists a 95-100 grain bullet loading, apparently they make a V-Max and a Spire Point.

Best velocities were with Win 760, Accurate AA4350, and IMR 4831, all in 42-47 grain load range (42 start, 47.+ maximums), 4831 maxed out 49.4.

Should get ya going right there scratchypants, and welcome to the board. :)

hola amigo and welcome to the board ! sadly for the longest time the 6.5 families were ummm overlooked by most in the north american continent, sad that as i have been a fan for along time ( every since i shot one and before that the b.c.'s and s.d.'s were legendary) we thrive on discussion so dont be shy about jumpin in there !
