i recently purchased a Savage model 10 Predato in .243 and I am AMAZED at the way this rifle shoots. I can consistantly hold .221 to .288 5 shot groups at 100 yards with a 55grain Sierra Blitzkin and the Hornady 58grain V-MAX. I have a 20 shot group at 200 yards that measures .898 . I know 20 is a little obsessive , but , I wanted to see what it would do. I have a friend who just bought the Remington VTR in .308 and wanted me to meet him at the range with my gun so he could show me how " a real gun shot"!!! Boy did he eat crow!!!!! Since then the friend sold the VTR and purchased a Savage FTR in .308 and is now what I would call a Savage nut. He also has purchased a Model 10 Predator in 22-250 and bought his son a .243 model 11 and is thrilled with them all. Savage does it again!!! Pound for pound , dollar for dollar , you cant beat Savage accuracy!!!!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

The Savages are hard to beat. I've got a couple I rebarreled and they shoot extremely well.

I couldnt imagine owning anything but Savage's. Remington's are not bad guns , but I have never had one shott as well as my Savage's out of the box.

Savages are fine. Some find them pretty ugly. I can't agree with that. The French M36 is pretty ugly, Mosin Nagants aren't much better. SMLEs, or any Lee-Enfield isn't going to win a beauty contest, either.

If they shoot, I can live with what other call ugly.
