| 17 Squirrel is a varmint cartridge made from 22 Hornet brass. It is shortened to .965 and necked to 17 cal. Can run a 20 gr bullet at 3000 fps. Very accurate. Also there is a 22 Squirrel.

That is correct, I mean .17 which is actually .177 dia projectiles. Most reloading manuals and journals leave off the decimal point for simplicity. So, if anyone has any .17 Squirrel reloading data I could use it.
tnx

Hello and welcome to the forums.
Here is what I found so far for the 17 Squirrel
http://www.reloadersnest.com/unverified_detail.asp?CaliberID=556&ID=4142
http://www.reloadersnest.com/frontpage.asp?CaliberID=556
http://www.smallcaliber.com/index.htm This is for the 22 squirrel caliber but I spoke with the guys and they have all the components, dies, manuals etc. its about $33.00 for a reloading manual with the above calibers and more.
Hope this helps,
Slingshot

Not a problem, just be careful those are not confirmed as safe loads, I would call up Hodgons or Alliant powder just to verify the pressures and they may have some loads that could help you.

| Marty, This seems to be home for the .17 Squirrel guys as well as the .14 caliber guys etc. I don't think they are loading darning needles yet but it wouldn't surprize me if they tried. RD http://www.saubier.com/forum.html
