hello thought i should introduce myself my mane is Richard and Fallow is a medium sized deer about the size of a whitetail
i am stuck in the middle of the uk, and the country is a desert when it comes to wildcat rifles especially when your a Southpaw- the components cost a fortune after shipping and tax- and having to be lisenced to wipe your a** dosnt help as the paper work takes months if you want to change a rifle.
i was looking around for a new wildcat light weight hunting rifle and found this site and it seems that you guys have a lot of know how on the hunting side of things
i was searching for 25WSM and found Cammotruck's writeup its interesting to read what real hunters do, rather than BR shooters

regards

richard

Welcome to you, sir! Have to admit, from what I've read and from talking to some folks, the UK is not a place for shooters, handloaders and hunters now. I hope you will be able to continue your pursuits.

Good Day to You Kind Sir!

Richard I know the prices are up there and the VAT can be a killer, How is MidwayUK on prices? I did look and I think 19.99 pounds for a set of Lee dies is a bit much. Is there any way any of can help you. I could ship you a set "used" dies if that is what you need.

As far as being a southpaw, I have the same problem here and at my home in Quebec. It just isn't fair, all of those right hand rifles.

Welcome,

Jerry

Sorry for what has happened to your country lately. It must be a source of great pain to you. We'd be glad to have you if you'd consider joining us.

Come in thru Mexico and you can get gobs of benefits!

OK, bad joke. But serious about the welcome.

Hi,

I experience the same problem over here for years now,and it even has got worse.

Over here, in the Netherlands, our Gouvernment still thinks they can fight criminality by putting burdens on the legal, good-willing law-obeiing fire arms holder.

The easiest way for them to get the feeling, having done something, because we are readily available and harmless, so they can do to us whatever they like-some feelings can be had really cheap obviously!

As being a south-paw too, I restrict myself these days by using left hand stocks  and right handed systems, or simply shoot a right handed gun.

This is only for rifles of course because the stocks of my shotguns I still have bended and adjusted to length by a competent gunsmith- no rubber pads fitted, but a nice piece of  wood.

thanks for the welcome guys,

had a good look around the site and there is some interesting reading

i think the price issue in the UK is that there are too many middle men in on the deals
its £38- $75 for a tub of varget powder over here at the moment
the system seems to be take the US price and swap the $ to a £ and leave the numbers the same

i am glad that i have to come out to the US regular on business- so i tend to pick up what i can when i am running around- its just a shame i cant take Actions and barrels home - but i get other Engineered parts home ok
