Started handloading for a couple hand guns back in the late 80's early 90's when I was in the Air Force. Moved to Illinois, land of the anti-gunner, and everything gathered dust in the basement until a couple years ago. Then, we took my mom and dad to Normandy, through Northern France, Belgium and just barely into Western Germany. (My wife and I both work for an airline which makes travel more affordable.) My dad's a WWII vet. He served in the Pacific but always wanted to go to Normandy. It was one of the most incredible experiences in my life. After getting home I found myself on the CMP website and shortly thereafter the proud owner of a well worn Garand. An M1 Carbine came a few months later. I don't know what happened but somehow I had a big safe and and a K98 and a couple Mosin's. I was warned about the surplus rifle addiction but didn't listen. I've loaded some for the Garand and Carbine but not as much as I'd like to. Did a Google search and found this site. After lurking a bit it was easy to recognize some great people. Because of my lack of experience handloading I won't be much use in the advice department. Hopefully that'll change a bit as time goes on. Hello to all. Thanks for the knowledge and experience you pass on to folks like me.
