Opened my e-mail and yours was there to read...Looked a great site, so I signed on. Been a Loader for 50 plus years...enjoy it, almost as much as shooting what I load.

glad I found you, I got a emale, checked it out and got a answer to a question I had about some powders, so I tried them. we will see. I have been reloading 46 years. mostly rifle and hand gun these days, I love to shoot, I will tell you about a guy I met at the range the other day, I handed him my 454, 300 gr hornaday 31gr h110 I think don't quoat me on that one, any way he pulled down on a beer can at 100 yards, yep 300 feet plus and blasted it ten feet in the air, handed my gun back and said thanks, think I will get one of thoes. well I am glad i did not put  bet on his shot, a fellow never knows.

Thanks n7tyo...

Good to have a site with folks that have the same interests...noticed the "rifleman badge"....quite impressive...did not get one in Korea...was Forward Observer with the 552 105 Howitzer group........never made 30 days on line without a break...did spend  almost 2 weeks on line calling the shots tho.

No better thing than shooting a good firearm and reloading to make it even better.

Should be a lot of fun and such chatting and exchanging gun stuff ideas with fellow members.

regards

Winnebago

Hi again,

I think I have figured out how to reply...Your 454 Casull can be a hoot.. Really a great cartridge...and I can relate to cans at 300 feet with a pistol..It is simple math or physics..as you well know.....bullet crosses the line of sight at the target and you have a hit...anything else is a miss...Been a reloader for a longtime. I enjoy loading those "cute" little wildcats and trying to get as small a groups as possible at 100yds

Have been tinkering with 17 Ackley Hornets. 20 Vartargs, 20-250, 218 Kilbourn Bees. Have some great rifles with custom barrels...and really enjoy making up the cases.

I do have some loads that resulted in some very fine bench rest groups at 100 yds. It is still a challenge to get even smaller groups...and that keeps me on my toes and brain active.

More later

thanks for replying, I do like to figure out what works and conquer the next rifle, I guess I have something for all occasions, I really do not want any thing more than a 454, my boy thinks it would make a good concealed carry piece ha ha. he likes punishment. I like tight groups, long range and sage rats. when I first met my one and only son in law I ask what he shoots, he said a custom rock island high number still in 30/06, we get along fine, only wish he did not live so far away. dave
