My name is Don, I was looking for some reloading data for the 380 auto, I shoot a Walther PPK, and trying to find a mild load for 102 Lee round nose lead cast bullets.    I have been reloading since the early 1980's, I retired from the US Army back in 2007, and have been here in Gillette since.  I look foward to reading post from this forum.

hola don !
and welcome to the board ! i dont know what kind of powders u have but ...( lolz ) try startin with 3.2 of blue dot ( 5.0 max )or somewhere between 2 and 2.5 bullseye ,as a general rule it is usually safe to use a charge listed for a heavier bullet ( but never a lighter one )and while we're glad ta have ya dont be shy about postin ( we like to read too ;) )

my lee manual list 4.-4.5 on the aa5,they dont list red dot but lyman's 47th has it with a different bullet shape ( tc ) about 1.5 to 2.1,quite often a slower ( within reason ) gives less pressure and a slower pressure curve resulting in less perceived recoil g'luck !

Thank you Fryboy, the AA#5 is a little snappy in this small pistol, I hope to make some practice rounds easy on the hand.

Don,

WElcome to the forum, we do a lot of reloading and have fun.

For 380, I use three grains of ww 231 with the bullet you are using.

Again welcome,

Jerry
