Well hello

just thought i would stop in and introduce myself, i reside in central wisconsin and have been loading for about 3 years.  Like many of you know there isnt an over abundance of us in our local areas rather spread out pretty thin... well at least over here.  I got started in reloading because i was sick and tired of going to the store and comprimising on a round that i knew wouldnt shoot worth a darn, so i decided i would speer head the reloading scene on my own.  I dont currently know anyone who reloads and would love someone to bounce questions off of.  Not to start heated debates as to what's better but I'm a Browning fan since birth.  The day i was born my father bought me a browning 30-06 medallion needles to say my mother was less than impressed however that gun and tradition is one that i hold near and dear to me.  I've since purchased a 300wsm Browning Eclipse, 270 browning stainless stalker, and my latest 204 varmit stalker.   I love to shoot and reload and hope to meet more people like myself.

I look forward to hearing from you all

hola amigo ! and welcome aboard ! while i cant say that all of like to reload or even shoot ,most of us do lolz ,sometimes i'm not sure if i'm teasing or not when i say this is kinda like a support group ( from time to time i even mention 12 steps etc )personal preference is just that( most of us prefer to reload ) i'm much more concerned that u keep all ur fingers as opposed to what kind of gun u like ,it's kinda like the chevy/ford thing ,what cant be denied is that the guy who was originally browning made significant contributions towards firearms( cartridges/guns etc etc )and one thing i can do is say hi ,my name is j. and i like to reload glad ta meet ya amigo !( now u cant say that u dont know anyone who reloads lolz ya may not know me well but ....) i have to admit that i prefer being informal, the main things is that ur among friendly type people and we thrive on discussion so dont be shy ,and again welcome aboard !

Welcome Anderson, Withe 3 years under your belt you have a good idea of how it's done. But like me I bet you can learn a few tricks and provide a few to!

We have a great gang that can help with just about anything.

Welcome to the forum,

How is that 300 WSM Eclipse doing for you? I have some interest in this round and the Browning rifles.

Again welcome,

Jerry

the 300 wsm... its nice in the fact that its a shot action, recoil is slightly less, but you really dont gain anything.  If you take a look the long and short of things they are pretty close out to about 300 yards but after that the short mag falls flat off, cant explain it but it does, it falls apart.  If you want a gun to do some serious damage in a small package nice choice but if you want an out west 500 yard death stick... not so much.  You can take a 270 and a 300wsm stand them both on the ground and the 300 is about a 1/2 inch taller so great "in blind" gun.  I guess im kind of rambling but my opinion might be a little skewed, i dont particularily like mine.  I hunt shooting lanes in northern wisconsin my lanes are about 10 ft wide and about 400 yards long, the eclipse has that thumb hole, and by the time you get the gun out the window of the blind and get the deer in the scope and want to shoot, you have to take your thumb out of the hole move it to the top then find the hole in the mist of that second and a half its long gone.  I hunted with it for one morning and had three 130 class get by... i wouldnt have shot any of them but the 150 class that normally travels with the group i coulndt have shot even if i wanted to.  Food for thought thumb hole stocks with tang safty good for out west where time isnt of the essence, up north where you have no time not a good choice, again personall opinion.
