I've set for 2 full days in the wind and snow and have seen nothing.  I think the wind dies down tomorrow, maybe that will make them move.  I didn't put a food-plot in in my new spot and I guess everyone around me have food-plots, so that ante helping the situation.

Saw a doe today.  Every time I got my cross hairs on her she'd move.  Oh well she'll live another day.

Another one lucked out yesterday morning.  A big doe ran across in front of me while we were getting settled in for the day.  It's so quite around here you wouldn't know it was deer season.  I don't think the deer even know they're being hunted.  I'm hoping people start moving around this weekend, they might send a few my way.

Well I missed a nice doe tonight.  I first spotted her 1/4 mile away going into a big patch of brush and grass.  I lost her in their.  10 minutes later she popped out about 300 yards +/- heading my way (west).  She kept angling off southwest.  I'd blow the grunt call she'd stop then start at me again, this at first made me think she was a buck until she got to about 200+ yards and I didn't see any head gear.  She stopped broadside at about 200 yards in short grass.  I thought about trying a shot but decided to wait to see if she'd come closer.  She came to about 150 yards then headed southwest behind some brush.  I saw an opening so when she stepped into it I stopped her.  I held just above her back, looked the shot over to make sure she was clear of brush.  It looked good.  I fired.  She turned around, looked around, then ran off in big leaps.

When I got home I noticed my scope had slid forward.  Checked the screw and they were loose.  The guy helping me sight in a month ago checked the screws and said they were tight.  So now I have to sight it in in the morning.  Hopefully I get another chance tomorrow.

Well I got my rifle shooting straight again.  But no deer, and lots of wind.  The deer cross to the east and west south and north of me just out of sight fairly steady, they just don't want to cross in front of me.  I was going to hunt til season closes Sunday.  But I'm tired of starring at an empty field from morning until dark so I'm hanging it up for the year.  I'll get em next year.
