I really hate to see people get burned like that. It's so unnecessary. What did the guy think, the buyer wouldn't notice?  billt

Regardless of which side you're on it does prove a point.

When buying USED (heck even NEW) firearms, it pays to look over it with a fine toothed comb!

Personally, I always feel there's a need to "track" these items - certified letter, certified funds, copies of e-mails, etc.  Only purchased 1 gun via internet and it was through gunsamerica.  No problems but I wasn't dealing with Mr. Pomeroy either!

If you think there is good in everybody, then you haven't met everybody. Some people are just cheats and liars and not worth the effort or your time. What go around will come around. God, Honor and Country is what a man should live by and without either you are not much of a man in my opinion.

Mr.Pomeroy will get what he has coming to him.:stupid:This is a small board ,but 83 folks know about him now and accurate reloading is a large site with a lot of folks.I would wager his internet gun sales days are over..:thumbs:

He`ll have to try to pawn his junk in person now and likely will get told to not so nicely to get screwed  more than once..

I think this guy got scammed.  And Gunsamerica sounds like they don't care because its the seller thats feeds them cash thats the bottomline the seller pays gunsamerica either way gunsamercia gets paid no matter what.  The buyer pays nothing to gunsamerica so they don't care.  It sure has raised a thought in my mind about buying from gunsamerica now for sure.

I have been very lucky so far I have bought guns from Auction Arms, Gun Broker and Guns america and i have made out ok and in some cases very good too.  Everything has been as advertised.   With the auction sites there is a time not to get sucked in by a shrill too thats a guy who bids against you to drive the price up.  I have a set maximum price i will go too then back off when it goes past it.  I have also noticed by searching what your looking for it doesn't always come up yet it there.  So I will put in different phrases and when it comes up sometimes because of this i'm the only bidder on the auction site this is when i make out too. I make sure i get a 3 day inspection too before i bid or buy just to besafe too so i can return it just incase.  Maybe we should do a sticky list of scum bag sellers here too.  Some of these guys are running a  business on the net just screwing people like you and me.  A few i have heard bad things about are "Hunters Lodge"  selling bad rusted stuff and their $40 shipping fee too.  And "Collectable Firearms"  not only are his prices beyond high some of the stuff isn't as advertised its in lesser condition.  I'm sure there are more out there but we as the buyer have to beware!!!!!!                                  BigBill

Some really sad stories are the guys who don't have there C&R FFL so they order thru their dealer from some of these guys them if its a bad buy there kind of stuck in the middle because they paid a fee to their dealer already and the shipping cost of sending it back again there out the shipping both ways plus the fee they will end up keeping a POS this is what these crooks like!!!!!  Be aware of a PO box address too. If you use the USPS money order they will fight for you too.  I try to avoid scams but you just never know.  With gunsamerica i deal with other FFL's gun shop owners and their usually honest but again I've been lucky.  I only go to the net when its something thats rare or hard to find or priced right too.  Some of these C&R guns can vary from $300 to $1,200 for the same gun so it pays to shop smart just because the price is higher doesn't mean its in better condition too.  I shop by my gut feeling and so far my gut feeling hasn't been wrong.  Something in the add just sparks my interest and so far i haven't gone wrong.  Like i said get that 3 day inspection too.

The internet is a great tool for feed back too lets stop these guys so spread the word of these scammers!!!!!!!!!  If the guy is a good seller lets say that too!!!

I've bought guns from AA, GB and GA. All were no problem. I do tend to look at GA and get a little scared. I bought a S&W 65 in 357 on GA and it went well. I've used AA a lot and GB as well.

Sometimes you just have to trust a bit. If you want to buy with a 3 day inspection and a right to disassemble, it should be documented thru the site with email. Lay down the rules in advance. Some people don't want their gun taken apart.

I'm not taking sides, but I think this is an excellent chance to learn from some one elses' mistake. The dealer usually wants things to work out if he has any reputation.

Maybe we should start a sticky here with a list of names and were they sell from:thumbs:?

example we could do a post then the moderators could take the name and site its sold from and post it on the sticky so we have an easy list to read on hand all the time in one place to refer too.

How about a sister site for the good gun guys who we dealt with and are ok?  I have a gun shop in the midwest and a few others too.

+1

I've had good luck with all three, but GA still scares me. Sometimes you find stuff on guns america that isn't available anywhere else. GA favors that type of listing.
