Have you guys seen this subject on other forums? It is a good ideal, one donates a piece of gear to another, ships it and then can pick an item for themselves if they so desire and have it shipped to them for their own use,or just watch the thread and see how others react....The only money involved is shipping costs.
GrayBeard Outdoors has this,as well as other sites.
I have posted a couple of items "to the first good answer" as a knockoff on this ideal over on Cast Boolits.I gave a Ideal #5 and now am running one on a Pacific powder measure.
So now,I hereby donate a CVA Kentucky Rifle percussion lock to get this started.
Anyone else care to jump in here?I do not need anything,I posted a WTB yesterday morning, and got a phone call response from a man who is ALREADY a FRIEND!
So,what do you folks think on this? Not my ideal, just want to see it carried on....

It's a good idea, but judging by the number of "where's the hammer mold?" postings on Castboolits it doesn't seem to work as well as it should.
I know I've donated/given may older tools and things I don't use to others, especially beginers. I know many others on here do to.

Funny that this topic comes up. I just received a box from a member with two Lee bullet molds. I don't know him , he doesn't know me, other than the little bit of PM correspondence.
He was just a guy who wanted to help me started in bullet casting and sent me molds. What a wonderful and good for his word guy he is.
I would love to post his identity but would be afraid of other taking advantage of his generosity, as I understand has been a bit of a problem, as per one of our moderators posts.
