Once your item has sold or you no longer want to sell it. Please mark it as sold or no longer available. This will prevent headaches for everybody down the road. Thank you.

To all buyers and sellers.
Folks, unfortunately as with anything in life we do get our "bad apples". We here at the HB do our utmost to keep them out however, at times they get through. BEFORE you buy or sell, send money or do anything of the like please check the other party out in the good guy/ bad guys threads. If they list a screen name or mention ebay, gunbroker or any other site please go there and CHECK THEM OUT.
If you have questions about the item, need a picture of it, want it verified thru a third party or have it shipped by FFL let the other person know. Not doing these things till the deal is sealed causes problems for you, the seller and eventually the board here.
The HB is a great place to buy and sell but like anything else on the net you can get ripped off if you don't check the other person out. The old phrase of "Trust but verify" applies here.
If there is a problem that arises notify an Admin or Board Founder asap and we will try to do what we can. Also remember that you do have the right to pursue charges on the person that ripped you off if you so choose. For that you will have to contact your local law enforcement agency to determine how and what is needed since every state does have different laws concerning this.
As much as we hate to have to say this in the end it is "BUYER BEWARE".
Take care Be safe Poacher.

How does one modify a post to let others know that an item has been sold etc. I want to comply with the rules but the program part doesn't allow me to modify in part. i.e. sold 1 of 10 items. If you allowed the poster to modify the contents, I think that you would have better co operation in cleaning up the boards. Which I know needs to be done. Right. I appreciate what you guys do. Thanks 21buck

usually a poster can modify the original post , the comments one makes tho have a time factor where one can edit them ( i think it's 30 minutes to a hour ) a new comment can also provide the needed or updated details , if worse comes to worse ask a mod to help you ( part of the job )in the last case plz be specific about what should be modified ( hope this helps )
