I am looking fo a small amount of 38S&W brass. Not 38 special.I recently acquired a S&W topbreak revolver in pretty nice shape and I always like to have some ammo for every gun I own.If I can find a little cheap enough Ill reload if not it might be less expensive to just buy a box or two....Robin

Be very cautious with factory S&W in any top break designn, even the S&Ws. Many of the ones I've seen show wear on their locking surfaces. If you do load some ( I do, for an H&R top break, stick to really conservative loads.

This doesn't apply to the Enfields and Webleys out there.

I cut off some 38 spl brass and loaded 2.2 gr hp-38 under a 148 gr lrnhp's.After some trial and error I found 10 cases with very little taper to the wall where I needed tocut them and was able to load some home cast bullets with a 360 dia.2.2 grs hp-38 should be a fairly light load so as to be safe. This gun is a S&W and looks to be unfired.I feel quite lucky to have found this one.I may not even fire it myself. Some thing I almost never dont do...ha....Robin
