I finally got my paperwork in hand last week so I’m ready to rock and roll with my latest invention, The Little Dandy Adjustable Rotor®……..

The LDAR® is a quality made unit produced right here in North Carolina, it’s never seen China or Japan so it’s truly MADE IN THE USA!!!! Machined from Stainless Steel to exacting tolerances it eliminates the need for the costly fixed rotors of the past. It is infinitely adjustable for all popular types of powders and produces exacting accuracy of powder drops. It is a snap to install, adjust and use. It in no way alters the original design of the Little Dandy powder measure.

The LDAR® comes complete with everything you need to use it immediately which is only the adjustment wrench which fits into any screwdriver handle that accepts ¼” removable bits which we all have a dozen of. As with any powder measure a scale to weigh the charge and make adjustments to the final load is required.

As for capacities, I used every powder I had on hand (which isn't that much) these were my measurements.....

Powder............ minimum......... maximum
Bullseye........... 2.1................ 11.0
Unique............. 1.7................ 9.5
HP 38.............. 2.6................ 13.0
Power Pistol...... 2.5................ 13.6
Green Dot......... 1.3................ 8.2

If yours isn't listed maybe one of these is similar enough to give you an idea. Bear in mind that the Little Dandy is a pistol powder measure and isn't very good if taken out of that arena.......

The “normal” lead time for the LDAR® is 3 to 4 weeks but I have about 5 or so on hand at this time at 45.00 plus 4.00 shipping, first come first served. Once these 5 are gone the wait time will be 2 to 3 weeks based on work load. USPS Money Orders only at this time please. Once payment is received on the in stock units it will ship the next day via USPS.

As you can see from my post counts I’m not a stranger on any of the forums so rest assured I’m not a spammer or crook. When you’re ready to order just PM me and I can tell you what the in hand stock or shipping times will be as well as give you an address to mail payment.

I do use one but I have all of the rotors for it  I am not a big pistol shooter so I do not use it much. It looks like a pretty cool invention though. How much they run?

You must have bought the rotors back when I did, before they were priced like gold!!! The cost is 45.00 each plus 4.00 shipping, about the cost of 4 rotors in todays market.

The LD is at it's best when loading from a block with a single stage loader since you can charge the cases and they don't leave the block.

I traded my LIl' Dandy away a couple of years ago, because for 1 the price of the rotors and for 2 the RCBS rotor chart never matched up with the suggested load like they said it would. It always seemed to drop heavy for me.
Now say if you were to make a charge chart that was accurate, I would most certainly be interested. I couldn't see from the pictures are there metering marks or is it just a shot in the dark each time you adjust it?
Even if you could take a measurement from the end of the metering screw to a fixed point on the measure that should get you pretty damned close, for repeatable adjustments.

Ok I see what you did, you made it so the cavity "bottom" is adjustable. The only problem I see there, is that you have to remove the rotor from the measure to adjust it.
So if your weight is off, you'll have to dump powder, clean it out, pull the rotor, adjust it, re insert it, add powder and hope you hit your mark. If not your doing it all over again. It wouldn't take me long to get severely annoyed with that aspect.
I would guess that you could still take a caliper reading once its set, and write down the length in your log book. for that repeatable result.
Let me know if I'm missing something.
I apologize if I seem to be trash talking your product, thats not my intention. I'm probably not understanding something, as my ex- wife tells me "you're no rocket surgeon" LOL

The best part of the LDAR is that you DON'T have to remove the rotor to make adjustments. The cavity is adjustable by going UP through the bottom with the supplied hex wrench. You will need to remove the plastic insert that screws into the bottom and goes over the mouth of the case but the rotor stays put while being adjusted. That's why there are no graduations, you wouldn't be able to see them...... An adjustment thakes about 2 seconds, weigh and adjust as needed until the target charge is reached and confirmed.

I have been using the "original" prototype rotor for about 2-3 years during the development phase so what you see is actually the 3rd phase of development and the final product, no changes are anticipated.

And I don't consider your curosity as "trash talking" the product, you just want to understand how it works and what makes it better. I would also.........

Ok Bailey I get it.Makes sense to me now.
I would guess graduation marks wouldn't matter, the marks on my Uniflow don't necessarily hit the mark either, more like rough guess.
