A number of years ago I was a member of a local gun club near Cincy. I had a Remington Sendero in 7 mag that would really shoot. I worked up a load with Sierra 168 BTHP match, Federal magnum match primers, Winchester cases, with Hodgdon H4831. The load was close to max, not sure what the charge weight was, but it would put 5 shots into one ragged hole at 100 yards. I shot it at 300 and didn't do too well till I started watching the flags. I finally put a couple of groups down there that measured just over an inch.

A week later the club closed the rifle range and I ended up selling the rifle.

Now I am a member of a different club that has a high power range that extends to 600 yards. Wish I still had that Sendero.

Now I'm shooting a Remington 700 PSS in .308 and just started handloading for it. I hope it will shoot as well as the Sendero. Time will tell.
