Sometimes trying to find reliable information for working up a load, especially for cast bullets can be frustrating. I have a book shelf of reloading books and can still come up empty for finding an easy starting place.

This used to be a non issue. I was to be able to drive 5 minutes to test load work ups. But in the last 30 years "civilization" has encumbered this easy access for shooting. Now I have to drive 36.4 miles to find out which of the new batches is going to fit my needs.

Because I hate driving out of this city I find myself lurking several forums to find information which has been posted. I gotta say there is a lot of BS out there.

So I like to say my favorite sources and writers are:

CE "Ed" Harris
Mike Venturino
This forum.... of course!
Cast Boolits
LASC

I like Mike Venturinos articles, especially on cast bullets and historic firearms. Lately I've been reading Handloader magazine, it's an excellent source of info and knowledge. As for books, I like Patrick Sweeney's work. I've read nearly all of the Gun Digest books multiple times.

I am a member of the Cast Bullet Association, so I read stuff posted by Ed Harris over on the Cast Bullet Association forum, but this forum has the best amount of information with least amount of BS.
