27 grains AA2460 Fed 205 primers 55 grain bullets
27.5 grains Varget Fed 205 primers 55 grain bullets
29 grains Varget Fed 205 primers 40 grain bullets
These are max loads so reduce accordingly and work up slowly.

Do you have any load data for .556 with 62 grain bullets?

A load that works extremely well in both bolt and semi-auto is 20.6 grains of IMR 4198 in RP brass, CCI BR-4 primers, Sierra 52 grain Match seated to 2.250".

Thanks for that data, now I need to know if my 1:9 twist is okay for 52 gr. bullets. Also, what kind of velocity can I expect to get from a 16" AR-15? Thanks again!

Over my chronograph I get 2200 fps in an 11" barrel carbine. Out of a Savage Model 10 with 26" barrel velocity was closer to 2800. YMMV
Another load that shot well in my M4gery, 1/9 twist-14.5", is loaded with 25 grains of Varget, a Sierra Match 68 grain BTHP lit by BR-4 primers in the RP case and seated to 2.260" (max length that will fit in a mag). The starting load for Varget is 23 or 24 grains (don't have access to my manual right now).
The latest Sierra manual has some good loads listed but, IIRC they obtained velocity in a 20" AR.
