I came across a new box of 165grain .284 cal Remington core lockt bullets.  Does anybody know of a load I can use these for in either 7mm Rem Mag or 7-30 Waters?  I have looked thru the few books I have access to and no luck yet?  I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something to practice my reloading skills with and to hear a metal target go clang

.284 is the nominal bullet diameter for every common 7MM cartridge I am aware of, they will do fine.

I would compare load data from a few sources for a 160-162 grain and start with the mininum loads working up untill you find something that shoots well enough for you. You can get data galore fro the 7 mag the 7-30 that might be another story.

Thanks for the info.  I found a load I like, now I just need to borrow the powder and dies from my dad.
