I was testing some handloads for my Bersa Thunder .380 ACP this past week and came up with the following:
Bullet: Speer Gold Dot HP
Bullet Weight: 90 gr
Brass: Remington
Trim-To-Length: .677"
Primer: CCI 500
Powder: Power Pistol
Charge Weight: 4.6 gr
COL: 0.97"
Avg Velocity: 906.6 fps
SD: 7.68
ES: 21.45
Group Size: 1.75" at 7 yards
The factory Speer load is rated at 990 fps, but I couldn't get the stability or the accuracy at those speeds as I did with the above load.
Enjoy!

Sound like you're in the zone with that load. I load and shoot .380s for a Bersa Thunder CC, as well as a couple other pocket pistols in that caliber. Accuracy is very important to me, especially with the Bersa, since the sights are on the minimalist side. With a MV difference of less than 100 fps between factory and handload, and an SD and accuracy such as you report, I'd take the accuracy and shot-to-shot uniformity over the added velocity.
Sadly, I can't find the Gold Dots around here lately, although I have some stored that I loaded last year with a recipe very close to yours. Thanks for the data!
