can you tell me of any experience with 185 gr slugs in 45acp. I got a few thousand of them and lots of brass AND a lee progressive to load it in. all of which i have never used, any I would like to learn what not to do from others I make enough mistakes of my own. i will be shooting it in a dan wession pointman Last edited on Thu Aug 6th, 2009 07:31 PM by n7tyo

One of the bullets my kimber loves is the hornady 185gr xtp,very accurate,feeds good, also had good luck with montana gold 185gr jhp

Hello and greatings,
I have good luck with this bullet in my Colt series 70, 1911.
From the Accurate Arms loaddata; MAX LOADS reduce 10% to start
185 gr. N100 6.0 grs 1044 fps
No.2 7.5 grs 1077 fps
No.5 10.2 grs 1102 fps
