Guys, I am in need of some good loads for my newest .257 Weatherby Magnum. This is my second one because I have always wanted one ever since I can remember.

The first one is a Weatherby Vanguard and I found an excellent load for it, using the 110gr Nosler Accubond over 74.0 grs of H-1000.

My new toy is a Remington 700 CDL and I would like to find a good load with 100 gr Scirroco II bullets if possible. I have H-1000, IMR-77828, RL-22 and several other slow burning powders on hand as well as a good supply of Fed.215 Magnum Primers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,

Gary

Hello Gary,
I own a Rem 700 LSS and a Ruger #1 B in a 257 weatherby mag.
I shoot Nosler 110 gr Accubonds out of both.
For the Ruger #1,- I use RL 22 68 grains and for the Rem I use IMR 7828 71 grains. This gives me approximately 3400 FPS out of each and the loads give me the best accuracy for each.I also use Fed 215 gold match primers.
You can try one of these for starters and see which one works best for you in your rifle. At least it is a starting point.

Good luck
