Ok

Regarding my previous post I want to thank all you for the replies, I have decided to give the carbon arrows a shot. That brings up another question, Fixed or Expandable broadheads?

expandables are not legal in Idaho for hunting big game, but i would like to hear your views on the subject

Steel Force is the best broad head that I have used to date! I do not relay care for the expandable but know people that love them, thunderheaders have a good following also but I will stick with the steel force.

I'm not a fan of expandables.  You loose a lot of energy in your arrow when the broadhead has to open on impact.  A lot of deer are killed with them every year.  But I'll stick with fixed blade.  Most of the deer I've took with my bow were taken with Thunderheads.  Two seasons ago I switched to Hell Razors.  I haven't had a shot with them so I can't say if they are good or bad.  One season I tryed Magnus 4 blade Stingers.  I got 2 deer with them, and had a very poor blood trail with both deer.

Being disabled, I hunt with a crossbow. Would much rather hunt with a compound but, hey, it gets me in the woods.  I used the 2 blade, RAGE, broadhead this past season with excellent results. I took a doe that went only 10 yards and fell dead. Massive damage. 2 1/2 in. hole going in, and out. ''Will try and post pic tomorrow.'' I would like to mention that the Rage head was damaged, from bone, and I could'nt replace the blade. Sent it back to Rage, and they sent me a whole pack. Very good company, they stand behind their product.
