LOL, why does the term "self guided hunt" conjure up images of some guy taking your money, dropping you in the middle of nowhere and hoping you can't find your way back!
course that might not be a bad deal! (any chance obama could go on a self guided hunt?)

Well these guys are not like that, the fact is you will be staying right on the property you will be hunting, so all you will need to do is walk out the back door,
they will also help you as much as you want, as there time allows, and they have time to do most of what an outfitted hunt will be,
they are calling it a self guided hunt as they are not outfitters, and they are not providing any treestands( though there are a few set up on there property, that you can use, but they would for liability reason prefer you use your own!
and then last, your meals are on you!
but as for help setting up a stand, finding a good spot, deer recovery, butchering, and what evr other way they can help, they will do it 1
they are doing this for the first time, and are hoping to get some guys that will come back next year, they want repeat customers, as they don't have a computer, and don't have means to advertise alot,
I am helping them as they are friends of mine!
and honestly feel its a great deal, a great area for an honest chance at a 150 class deer, and for the price, thats a super deal! in the whitetail world these days!

Heck they could come to my house and stay. with the deer in the backyard it would be easy. I don't charge for people doing that. And the meals would come out of my freezer, and all of our preserved foods.

I am far eastern Ohio, we are 30 miles west of Wheeling W.V. My controlled area this group can use is only about 3 acres, but the deer come right up to the house year round.

Ok Thanks , but to be honest , that is not a type of hunt I am interested in , sounds like it would more of a backyard hunt to me.
I am not saying you don't have deer, or i would have a chance at one, just that I wouldn't feer like I was hunting.
I have many friends that have tons of deer that eat things in there back yard, and the deer are more like pets than wild deer, due to there contact with people so offten.
so of there bucks are even very large, but I wouldn't feel again like I was hunting a deer that was as alert as a deer living in a less human contact area, I enjoy the challange, as its not just about the harvesting of a deer that makes a hunt to me!.
But there maybe some takers that will take you up on your offer,
any chance of you getting some pictures up of the deer that you see in your back yard, I would be interested in see them if you could, or maybe even e-mail me them
if so, Pm me and I will send you my e-mail address

I also have 504 acres of rolling farm land in Washington county, near Marietta. I may add another 400 acres to that if a sale goes thru.
I have over W.V. 110 acres hunting preserve, but it is not Ohio.
