Hey fellas...new to the forum and reloading. I have been reloading .40 S&W rounds for a few months now. I shoot a Glock 22. I have been loading a lot of the Berry's bullets for economic reasons. I would like to start experimenting with some different projectiles. I have always heard that you cannot shoot lead (non-jacketed) bullets through the Glocks. How true is this? I would like to try my hand at casting my own bullets. I have a small smelting pot that I used to use to make lead fishing weights and jigs. I am fairly familiar with the process but have no idea what kind of metal or cast to use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I posted a reply to your post up in the rifle section.
If you wish I can delete that posting and move my reply to this message.

they say it is best not to shoot cast lead through a glock factory barrel. some do, but i do not. i use after market barrels for my glock when i shoot cast lead bullets. much has been written about this, pro and con. go to glock talk and do a search to see.
