This is an area that people have several ideas about, but if I want a good fit for a cast bullet, I sized them at least .001 over, some times .002 over, with a couple specialized bullet molds for the Marlins, they can be as much as .003 over.
So a 357 Magnum bullet could be .358, .359 or .360 depending on the alloy and gas checks that are being used, plus how tight is the chamber and the bore of the pistol or rifle.
I have used the RCBS/Lyman luber sizer in the past, but use my Star for 96% of the work I do, with some Lee TL Sizers and some pan lube as casts. I have never owned a Saeco, but would like to know more about them.
So how do other people size their bullets

i have a old old lyman and a rcbs lubrisizers ,the rcbs was made in the 70's but was brand new in the box when i got it in 98 ( did have a lil surface rust here and there tho )the lyman is old !the lee system is easy especially if u use there liquid lube ,i usually start .001 over and go up or down depending on how i like the barrel and load,i usually fiddle with the alloy before i change the sizing die in honesty tho (it's cheaper lolz ) i also used cast more for pistol than rifles(mostly)
the real question for me is fav lubes,i prefer a harder lube but use the lyman super moly and the rooster hvr ( some where i have a couple three sticks of old hodgdon lube and a couple rcbs's that i'll prolly never use (ikky and stikki stuff )

Fry,
Here is a reasonable place to get decent bullet lube.
http://www.lsstuff.com/lube/index.html
You need hollow lube sticks, the price is right with them. I get my Xlox for Tumble Lubing from them.
If you can and this maybe a life time supply, for a very long life, they can get 100 sticks of lube in a flat rate priority shipping box. Then you will probably have consistant results forever.
Hope this helps,
Jerry

i've heard u mention the xlox before ,i cant deny the price is cheaper, if the price wasnt the factor do u like it better than the lee tumble lube ?(i keep thinkin of tumble lubin some of my black powder balls n bullets to keep them from oxidizing, the lee i know i can thin way down for that purpose ))100 sticks is more than a lifetime supply lolz ( i bought quite a bit of the moly lube when it was on sale a couple times at midway-i really like it with my lino in 357 and 44's,it is a softer lube tho ( read that a lil messy -not something i want to use and then store in a box or bag )you shoot erm make alot more lead bullets than i do and as i said most of mine are in pistol ( only 3 rifle calibers) hollow is easier for me but when i first used the rooster i got a deal on it because a buddy got 5 tubes without the hole(zambini) i got them in a trade and i just double boiled it down and poured it in and waited until it was semi cool ,i like it in the rifles,it isnt as messy as the moly ,i presume the carnuba red is the equivalent (on a side note rooster's headquarters isnt far from my moms)unless worse comes to worse or i startin shooting matches ( i dont see that happening anytime soon lolz) 20 sticks is a lifetime supply for me ,but thanx for the heads up i'll have to try thier sample pack ,i'm enclosing the link to rooster's private labeling ( u mite recognize some of the labels lolz) but if u click the link be sure to check out thier product line as well( yes i know they still cost more )

I use the Xlox instead of the Lee Alox, it is slightly better in handling and the excess is easier to recover and use again. Plus your right it is cheaper.
Here is a thread from the Marlin Owners forum concerning Ranch Dog using Tumble Lube and his methods.
http://www.marlinowners.com/forums/index.php/topic,27078.0.html
As far as stick lubes because you like the harder stuff, try the Caranuba Red and the 2500+ are your best choices. I have used all of the White lubes, they do work well and the prices are really great.
Think big, 100 sticks won't last you 15 years, so you need to stock up.

i often wonder if i'll last 15 years
granted with the price increases in the last couple i have cast more of my own as opposed to buying them ,sadly with the way things have gone i also havent gotten to shoot as much ( more of a jacketed rifle bullet shooter when i do get the time )i'd seen the marlin forum before ( as well as ranch dog's site )i hear ya on the thinking big part and if i had several gang molds or cast alot 100 would make more sense (still curious about that sample pack hard for me to commit so much without testing it for myself cuz i know it should work but it mite work better for you than it does for me -prolly works real good for becky !)i've moly'd some cast but that testing didnt work as well for me ,tried the drop out from midway too on cast and jacketed , tho it stopped the lead in the hi velocity 9's it left graphite( ? ) in the barrel ,perhaps if the samples turn out ok i can talk a buddy or two into going in on it and splittin' it up
