I spent about 2 1/2 hours processing some wheelweights this afternoon. Actually fairly new at this. I think this is the third time I've fired up the plumbers pot that I got for $20. At the end of the 2 1/2 hours I had 172 ingots from my cast iron corn bread stick pan. Not one of the ones that look like 1/2 ears of corn but one that casts about a 3 1/2" long stick that's about an inch square. They average about .65 pound each so I ended up with slightly over 110 pounds of WW ingots and that cleaned up everything I had. This gets easier and goes smoother every time I do this. Everything went well, I seem to have the fluxing part down. Even though I sorted I ended up with about 8 Zinc weights but they all came out with the clips from the lead weights. Only one showed any sign of melting, the corners were just starting to get soft when I fished it out. I did turn the heat down just a hair today from last time. Took a little longer but now I'm not worried about melting the zinc.

Best part is that the service mgr. where I get them told my wife he's got another batch ready. Looks like it's time to buy doughnuts. Rockydog
