a different ( and slow ) approach to casting .... stumbled across a video on youtube ( well several) but this one i thought to share ,perhaps time intensive but relatively cheap and no lead fumes except from perhaps the primer,not something i'm going to rush to try altho i admit that the speer plastic bullets can be fun as well as the wax bullets, tho those can be fragile as heck

I didn't watch the you tube thing. But we had plastic bullet's where I was stationed in Europe in 1968. We took a primed case and pushed in the pkastic bullet. Never saw them again after I came home. Got then thru the Rod and Gun Club at Sembach AFB.

well the speer's are designed for the plastic cases with the exception of the 45 cal. those are meant to be used in ur brass cases but they do press fit in the 44 case and fire, usually crack about then tho ...when the cases were trashed i'd use them in the colt [shrugz]
this one tho is kinda neat ( a bit slow but ...) just like casting a boolit in yer mold ..oh wait u are casting the bullet just using hot melt glue to do it lolz ,i've messed a lil bit with the rubber ones...eh ...the wax ones,those ding the heck out of a tin can !but they are kinda fragile,i thought i'd put this out there for people to mull over (ie; watch the video lolz ) a few minutes of space filler if nothing else

ur welcome ! the sliced 45 bullets looked easier but repeatability and feeding except in revolvers ...eh ...but with the melted bullets u can use the big ( 45 caliber lolz) or the small glue stix,u can see a fired "cut" bullet laying on his bench, complete with rifling ,with the wax bullets i had to drill out flash holes to get them to work best,i suppose one could do that for these ( unless adding 2 grains of bullseye then do not even try it) for the wax bullets i made 50 cases and when out of wax i crushed them and threw'em inna brass bucket ,there was one video where a kid played crazy and double charged it ...that i dont recommend,what i would recommend is mag primers!

For $13.00 you can order "X-Ring" rubber bullets from MidwayUSA. You can get them in many bullet diameters. No case modification. For my 45acp, I just seat a primer into an empty case, press in the rubber bullet with my finger and shoot! For an auto, you have to manually insert1 bullet into the barrel. For real training, I lower my crimp die and put a heavy taper crimp. This allows for hand cycling out of a magazine.
