Some of the peppers we have dehydrated, we grind into coarse to fine powder to use as spices. We use a coffee grinder to do grind our spices.

With out cleaning the grinder out, we made some Blue Mountain coffee, besides a good caffeine kick it also had a hot pepper tang to it.

Great way to start the day.

Jerry, Might this not also add a little burn to the general "effects" of the morning coffee? :flush: RD

It depends on how you like your coffee and your food in general.

Jerry we dry and grind peppers also, as a variation to that before you dry your peppers try putting them on the smoker with two or three pans of cherry or apple chips ,then dry and grind them

its also killer in burgers with ground mesquite smoked peppers

We put some peppers on the grill, then had them with dinner one night. I am trying to get a smoke house type of building. Plus I have a nice electric smoker that we want to integrate into the smoke house.

Gotta agree with RD, never got a taste fror the stuff. Guess I'm like Peter Pan, and never grew up.

Give me tea, any day. Or beer.

Charley,

Ae that we both can't drink, we mostly drink tea. Coffee is once in a while.

But I do have 4 beers left from a 6 pack of Canadian beer. The really good stuff.

Charley, If you like tea you should try Celestial Seasonings "Morning Thunder" tea. Three times the caffeine of a cup of coffee. Great flavor and really gets things flowing for the day. RD

Err Morning Thunder ??

That sure dont sound like a cup of tea to me ..............

More like the after effects of the chilli in that coffee grinder !!!

The original home of coffee is not certain but is most likely the Near East or North Africa.
