boresnakes are great ! quick handy etc etc plus they work ( always a bonus !)one can clean their dies with one using the caliber of the die, cleans sizing as well as seating dies ,altho sometimes it may take a couple of passes to get caked on lubricant from cast boolits out ,they also work great for magazine tubes and if clean( no oil on them) they also work great for cleaning the lee feeder tubes, speaking of cleaning , the best way i have found to clean the snake it's self is warm water and dawn and then just let drip dry .

Really like the BoreSnakes for quick cleaning!

Another item in my BOB & my backpack is a RapidRod....Amazing little fold-up ramrod-in-a-pouch!...because I've never been accused of being graceful! and a muzzle full of mud from a ditch-crossing "OOPS!" can send a hunter home for a cleaning rod ....

The ones sold on FleaBay are made in China,or a shoe factory called Taiwan....the U.S.made ones are found at BoTachTactical.

The first time I needed it,I thought,"I'm glad I bought that thing!"

The second time I needed it, I decided it had paid for itself by saving two long drives home for a cleaning rod,to make sure the bore was clean/safe.And for not ruining a fine morning of hunting.

If you're not terminally clumsy (like me!) and  never hunt creek bottoms or swamps & sloughs,or in sleet & snow, you may never need one.

And I didn't intend to hijack your thread....had never tried BoreSnakes on dies....but will, when loading in the field.
