Annealing the brass makes it last much longer. I have a set of 50 - 300 Win Mag. Super-X (older Winchester brand) that have been shot 9 times, trimmed 3 times, and neck sizing helps it last a little longer also. Still going strong only had one neck split early on.

Annealing is heat treating the necks and shoulders of the case.
