am unable to find any powder data for these 2 bullets, can someone help me?

I have loaded in the past using Blue Dot, Unique, & Bullseye. Am willing to try other brands as well. These 2 moulds must be bastard bullets as no reloading book lists them!

Any help tendered will be appreciated.

I forgot to mention the bullet weight of the 2 different bullets, they are 96 grain & 131 grain! I need powder charge data in grains of course.

Thanks for taking your time to look

hola amigo ! and welcome aboard ! i merged ur two threads since they pertained to each other ,lolz at the basta molds, real question was always weight and caliber
one can chose the data for a slightly heavier bullet's starting point and work up from there ,but never ever use a lighter bullet's starting point for a heavier bullet

As a rough guess, I'm thinking your molds are either marked Ideal, Lyman Ideal but probably not just plain Lyman. If so, there should be a mold number stamped on the mold. If so, I may or may not have data but my choice of powder would most likely be Bullseye. I think you might be able to substitute either HP-38 or W-231 using Bullseye data. If the bullets are the ones I'm thinking of, a good load would be 2.0 gr. of Bullseye as I'm thinking the bullets were designed to be short range target and plinking bullets. I have some of the earlier Lyman loading manuals so if the bullets were reaonably popular, there may be data. If not, pictures of some lightweight bullets in the manual showed that 2.0 gr. Bullseye load as being the one suggested. No max or min data, just that suggested load.

If the  molds are from some other company, then I would have to make an educated guess on what to use based on what Lyman data I do have.

One thing is for certain, it would take some serious sight adjustment or or Kentucky elevation to hit where you're aiming. Still, that's the kind of stuff that's fun.

What caliber are they for? http://www.gmdr.com lists lead bullets using handgun & shotgun powders just wish more calibers were listed.
