Was bored other day so i played with making some 2 + 3 ball loads for the .445. I used some lead .440 round balls. I first punched the balls through a block of steel with hole drilled through it..giving me a ball sized bout .428. First up was loading some 2 ball loads in .44 mag cases. The first ball went directly on top of med. charge of Unique, then a felt wad, then 2nd ball, then a good crimp. Next up were some 3 ball loads using .445 SuperMag brass. These cases are 3/8 in longer then .44 mag cases so you can get 3 balls in there. These loads didn't have room for wads between the balls so none were used..lol Almost forgot..the 2 ball payloads weigh avg of 257 grs..the 3 ball loads avg. 385 grs. Ok , observations shootin these things..there fun...but just cause there different. Its cool pullin the trigger 2 times and seein 6 holes in target..target was paper-plate bout 20 yrds away. Will try em on Armidillo some day. Didn't try any penetrating test, but they for sure hit hard enough to kill critters! The 2 ball loads sometimes stick together with card wads so thats why i use felt wads. The 3 ball loads fly apart nice with no wads at all...go figure! If someone wants to see pics..PM me and i will e-mail em to you + you can repost em here. BUT for just good ole plinkin...i'll stick with regular loads with Boolits !!

multi-ball loads are fun.... i have a friend that i get 32 cal round balls from and load them much the same as you do except i use plastic wads.... two balls fit into a ,357 magnum case nicely over a medium charge of bullseye..... it is fun to see 6 holes in the target with 3 pulls of the trigger......... stay safe JJB

Several years ago I developed an interest on RB loads. The reason was to hunt sqirrels with a load that had a shorter range for when the shot is up in the trees.I have used a single six in 22,and a SBH in 44.In the 80's I bought a single six in 32 mag. 2 years ago I loaded up some 32 mag cases with 3 round balls. They have worked quite well and make less noise than a 22.Just bagged a rabbit and a tree rat this evening.2 shots. Last edited on Sun Nov 1st, 2009 03:03 AM by wheezengeezer

This sounds like fun!!!!
I just googled 32 cal balls and it returned listings for .310. .311, .312, & .315.
What would be the right Ø to use to try this in my 357?
Where would I find the plastic wads?
Thanks for the help and have a good 'un, Guy

A ball from .357 to .360 should work for you.The 357 case is long enough to load 3 in.In my 32,I used .310 dia cause that is what I had. Here is the stackup;2.5 gr unique,RB seated on the powder, lube ball the same size as the RB,RB,lube ball,RB seated to allow crimp around the major dia.It is best to calculate the seating depth of each RB from the case mouth and seat seperatly to prevent deforming the soft lead.As long as I dont deform the balls I can get a pattern of 1 1/2 inches and sometimes less at 25 yards. When I deform the balls the pattern can go out to 4 to 5 inches.I dont know the velocity, but the recoil of the 135 gr load suggests 700 to 800 fps and the noise level is very pleasant. It does knock the snot outa them little buggers too.
