Assume that you are able to recover all your cast lead alloy bullets. Clean the dirt and other foreign matter off them.
If you remelt the lead and cast new bullets, will these bullets be as good as bullets made from virgin lead alloy from a reliable smelter ?
Will accuracy groups shot on paper be as good ?
Will game animals die as fast ?

1) I always check my reclaimed lead from my back stop or from out side ranges with a hardness tester and add tin or antimony as need.
2) If the only thing you have in the pot is the same casting, it should be close to the orginal, but always test for hardness and correct as needed. See number 1
3) That depends on you and you casting lubing and sizing methods, but generally yes they will
4) Most likely, maybe faster or maybe slower, it depends on where your located and what type of critters you are shooting at. Ground Hogs and Coyote die as fast almost every time, but wild boars are hard to predict that wisdom has come from 5 years of living in the hills of eastern Ohio.
I use a lot of reclaimed lead, if it came from a range, I figure it is about the hardness of 22 LR type of bullets. Even the lead from my back stop varies, because I shoot about 80% of my loads as WW plus a little extra tin alloy. The rest are softer lead, harder lead and jacketed bullets.
With jacketed bullets I find that the core is pure lead.

"if" it was all ur alloy from ur bullets ..sure why not ,if properly fluxed u shouldnt lose much in the way of tin etc,as for accurate and deadly...that's all up to the loader and shooter lolz,keep in mind that alot of 22 bullets have no tin and jacketed bullets are often softer lead,but i've made many boolits from recovered lead, a bullet trap would be ideal that would reduce impurities but most of those either burn up or float to the top and get skimmed off

I always use my known alloy for huntin' rounds and use up my "mystery metal" for plinkin' rounds.(still test for hardness)

back when i was cheap and poor i use to re claim range lead to make bullets. i would take any and all i could find. dump them in the pot, flux it, and take off the trash, dirt, copper jacket, etc... made some good bullets back in them days.

Thats what I would do back when I was cheap and poor too. Matter of fact I'm still cheap!!!!

u mean there's a better kind of lead ? lolz i think it's rare of me to go down range and change targets without pickin up some ...umm leavin it would be sorta litterin' wouldnt it ?

flux em clean out the crap add antimony, and you're done.
they will shoot just fine, as for hunting with them that is your decision.
