OG, Very nice! I'm quite envious. Are the cylinders on these long enough/strong enough to get them reamed out to the new .32 mag? RD

I bought the first one I saw, back when they were introduced. Always liked the gun and cartridge, never could understand why it wasn't more popular.

I have read the SP101 cylender is long enough,if starline starts making brass for the .327 I will most lilely get my SP101 cylender reamed to take the .327,without a supply of cartridges or brass I dont see any reason to get it done right now.

Looks like a sister to mine.Bought a 5 1/2 barrel new in mid to late 80's because I had a SS convertible in 22 also.I used the 22 as a daily carry gun on the farm.Got tired of of coons, coyotes and such runnin off when I shot them. The 32M factory ammo sucks big time.I have shot about 4 different loads. An 85 gr XTP in front of 12 gr H110 gives 1200 fps.It is a mite hard on the ears.A 100 gr swc cast,in front of 3.5 gr 231 or HP38 makes a good light small game load.My heavy cast is 12 gr Lil'gun pushin a 115 gr cast.My latest small game load and by far the easiest on the ears is 3 round balls in front of 2.5 gr Unique. The 327 may be a good performer but it will be a bitch without earplugs. The 32 M loads up to 38 SW levels and down to a level that is a pleasure to shoot without any hearing protection. It is quieter than the 22 SS and sure whopps the snot outa them.

5 grs of bluedot with the rcbs 98swc cast out of wheelweights makes for a really good load with some zip to it. Same bullet but 2.8 grs of trailboss makes for a gentle plinker load that holds pretty decent accuracy to 50 yds.

I'd love to find one of those Singlesix .32's! But the one I found in a local shop, it seemed they thought it was made of gold - price was ridiculous!
Right now, I am having fun playing with my old Russian Nagant revolver - making loads from reformed .32-20 brass, using 98 grain .312 lead roundnose bullets.
My hotter Red Dot loads feel good, but don't shoot as tight as hoped. My wimpy Bullseye loads (490 to 535 FPS!) are showing great promise! Very good groups. But I could toss the lead as fast........

The 32 mag never became real popular because it was too big a cartridge for somethings and too small for others. What you could do with it with small game, you could do with a 22. Then on the other end, a 38 special would accomplish the same and you lost the ability to have a dual 38 and .357.
I bought one when they first came out, but found it to be aboth the loudest report handgun for it's size I ever fired. It seemed to have a nasty crack to it. I had to send it back to Ruger twice to have rough cylinders polished out
I bought a Buckeye limited run in 32 mag and a 38-40 for my brother back in the 80's and I see they are worth about $600-$700 now

A question for you Single Six owners, I have a 22lr/22Mag long barreled Single Six. As much I have tried, I can not get the pistol to release the cylinder, so I can change to the 22 Mag Cylinder.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jerry

Pull the pivot pin and open the loading gate. Always works for me. You might have to wiggle it a bit, if the cylinder gets slightly cocked, but that should be all there is to it. Somehow, I think that didn't answer your question.

I think I have tried that, but I will try again.
Thanks,
