Hi all, figured it was about time I really introduced myself.  I've gone by the screen name kscchtrainer on several of the gun forums so I decided to keep it here as well.

Name's Aubrey, but I go by Jim, I live in the Wichita, KS area.  I've been handloading since 1976 and am an NRA Certified, Metallic Cartridge reloading instructor.  (I don't do shotgun reloading though, at least not yet.)

I've recently started teaching basic reloading classes in the Wichita, KS area and they have been well received.

Spent 20 years in the U.S. Army Security Agency including approximately a year and a half in 'Nam where I was one of the very lucky ones that really never got shot at, and retired from that career in 1981.

Worked as an electronic technician for 10 years and then became an electrician.  After I got my Master Electrician's license, I pursued that as a career until I finally retired completely just over 5 years ago.

Hobbies are Shooting, amateur gunsmithing, Amateur Radio and teaching reloading and the Kansas Concealed Carry course wherin lies my screen name.

Right now, I'm working on building up a Russian Mosin Nagant 91/30 from parts to go along with one that I recently finished accurizing.

Fortunately, Wichita has a really decent indoor 100 yard rifle range so testing loads is super easy.

I've babbled on long enough and hope I can help contribute to the general hand loading knowledge here.

:sofa:

Thanks for the kind welcome Bill,
I just noticed your location being Grand Rapids, MN.  I was born in Shakopee, some 200 miles South of you and lived in Edina until my father came home from the Navy in WW2.  One of my uncles used to have a farm up in the North Woods, around Aitkin.  I'm 67 now, and the last time I was anywhere near Minnesnowta was when I was 18 and attended my maternal grandmother's funeral in Wheaton.

Hey thanks for the nice welcome everybody.  I've got a reloading class scheduled for this coming Sunday, and I really enjoy teaching it.  Using the NRA lesson plans and student packets makes it very consistent.

I'm getting a lot of people signing up that have been reloading already, but want to have the formal class to help make them safer.  Really a great feeling to get new people going as well.  Last class I had a married couple and he was really grateful that she took the class - now, she's thinking of better things they could get for "their" reloading bench!  Works for me ----

Very glad to have you drop in "fer ah spell" Trainer. The year before my bud and I both got married we pulled a "Route 66" and got snowed in in Kansas. We spent about a week and decided to go south to the MardiGras. Spent a week there and stumbled back to NC after a couple of days in "hot lanta" to sober up. We got traveling out of our system--almost-- lol. Did it a couple more times but much shorter duration. Wifes come into play after a few days.
Thanks for your years of service. My uncle was in security also and retired as a WO-4 after 33 yrs.
