I discussing with RD his .32 ACP mold ( TL314-70-RF). He sold his design to Lee. The following is their response to my email inquiry.

"  The mold you are looking for is currently not stocked and would have to be a custom order.  Here are the details on Custom Molds:

We make custom bullet molds to your specifications for a $150 set-up and tooling fee for flat based bullets, plus the cost of the mold.  Single or double cavity molds would be $26.98 each, six cavity would be $50.00 each.

The above set-up and tooling fee will be waived on orders of 25 pieces or more.  For orders over 100 pieces regular dealer/distibutor prices apply to mold prices, in addition to elimination of the set-up and tooling fee.

If you are interested, we need to send you the specific details (please include your regular mail address)."

Probably dreaming on my part but if 24 of you are interested in this please let me know. Personally I'd like the 6 banger!

There are other forums that do this sort of thing, some are successful and some are not so good. I have no current need for a 32 ACP bullet, but would consider a mold if we get the price down to a workable level. Plus check on the cost of the Lee Luber Sizer to make this bullet the right size, if it not a stock size then they have to be ordered at the same time.

But, here is the big BUT, Lee is out to about 18 months on custom orders, this has killed some other organizations that designed and sold custom molds that Lee actually manufactured.

ummm what's a workable level ? i happen to like the humble lil 32 not the craziest on tl boolits but eh they work lolz i tend to prefer the speer gold dots in this caliber the rp's used to be dirt cheep in fmj's so i have more than a handful left as jerry sez the production time etc ... i'd prefer the 2 holer but if u can stir up enough interest i wouldnt be opposed to a 6 ( tho it'd be slightly overkill for my needs)umm did u bounce it by cast boolits?

I was interested in the 6 holer because I could knock out a years supply in very short order. Both my daughters carry 32auto tomcats and I like to keep them supplied. I've got the Ruby, Pistolet Automatique de 7 millim├Ętre 65 genre. Browning sure knew what he was doing and this little Spanish knockoff is a lot of fun.

This seem like a lot of work and the Lyman 4 cavity 311252 would work just fine so I may end up going that way if the 3 site I've posted this on don't generate more interest. Either way I'm happy!

I'm pretty sure the reason Michael  stopped the mold business was Lee's 18 month backorder on custom molds.

i'm pretty sure it was his wifes health issues culminating.
mtn molds does custom molds for abou 125.00 from mehanite, and good turn around times.
the guy's at boolits won't even discuss a lee mold anymore they have two other mold makers that do better, faster, jobs.
and stand behind their work.

Ranch Dog was closed mainly due to the lead time was 18 or more months. His designs are now cataloged with Lee, but will not be on the active list until they can catch up on current production.
