Have a third variation Match Target Woodsman with six inch barrel that was my father in law's. It might not be match competative anymore, but it is still one hell of a shooter. Also like Ruger's Single Six.

My 4" Colt Diamondback is my favorite 22 pistol. It's kind of like a mini Python. Just a really cool little gun to shoot.

I grew up on a Colt huntsman. The only 22 pistol currently around here is an old model Ruger Bearcat, nice handling and plenty accurate enough to pluck prairiedogs at 50 yds or a bit further.

I like my Ruger MkII with a Volquarteen trigger. Won a bunch of silhoute trophies with it.
I also had a Model 41 that was super accurate. With Federal UM1 it would shoot ten shots under a dime at twenty five yards. I sold it because I prefer to shoot the Ruger.

Ruger Single Six, hands down fun gun. (Also the only one in the closet at this time.)

One my cousins died in 04 and left me Rohn 22 caliber revolver. It is what one might call a Saturday Night special, being very cheaply made. You know pressed particle metal plastic grips and not to many moving parts. It has no ejector, the empties are pushed out with the base pin.
All that said it is quite accurate and fun to shoot. However it is not my favorite 22 pistol.

I would have to give first choice to my Browning Medalist. It's very accurate and feels great in my hands. It is a bit on the heavy side for a all around plinker. I also have a S&W Model 41 that is a very good all around gun as well. I like auto pistols in .22 caliber. Most run well, reload fast, and are very accurate. I have a 3rd generation Woodsman I bought new back in 1973. It's a great shooter but I have never broken it down because I've heard they are a total bear to reassemble. Bill T.

Have to with the 22/45 Ruger and then the 10" match barrel on the T/C Contender.

I had one of those as well with the short barrel. It is a suprisingly accurate little gun. I wish I had kept it.
