Big regret is never getting a Browning Challenger or Colt Woodsman. But then again I was earning about 50 cents an hour in late 50's and later $60-$80 dollars a month.

I have a Browning Challenger II that shoots better than me. Can't ask for more than that.

a old high standard nine shot cowboy gun and the ruger m2. both are great shooters. back in the 70's i pickup a german made 22lr/22mag cowboy gun. it is a good shooter and is made like a tank.

I also had a Model 41 that was super accurate. With Federal UM1 it would shoot ten shots under a dime at twenty five yards. I sold it because I prefer to shoot the Ruger.
Wish I could get one for my Standard Auto (Pre Mk-I).
The S.A. is the only one I have, and while I like it OK, the trigger is horendous, and gives me fits trying to hit with it. I shoot every one of my center-fires better.

Over the years i've owned and shot a pile of 22 handguns. I kept the best of the best, and all of the others are long gone.
BY FAR the most accurate handgun i've EVER fired, is the High Standard Military Victor i bought in the 70's. I won a pile of pistol matches with it, and yes i've owned two S&W 41's and a few target Rugers. My Victor out shot every 22 handgun i've ever fired, and also has been one hell of a handgun to hunt with. One day i shot 43 rabbits with it, some of them on a dead run, and my buddy got 13 with his shotgun. My friend was so impressed, he took a picture of me by some of them, and it was published in a hunting magazine that was distributed in the NW states.
I still have a Colt Woodsman, i use it mostly on my trap line, as it's easy to load into the bbl., one round at a time.
The finest, most accurate 22 revolvers i've ever fired, have been the S&W "K" frames, like the model 17's and 18's. I still have the first model 18 i bought in the 70's. It's put a "pile" of meat in my freezer for me, and after all of these years, it's still very accurate. Yes, i've owned Colt and Ruger revolvers.
That's the "best of the best" 22lr handguns i've owned and shot, since my i bought my first 22 handgun in 1971.
