I thought I'd say "Hi" from the other side of the pond...The houses over here tend to be smaller and usually lack basements, so you don't see sp many dedicated mancaves or reloading rooms.

My first reloading bench consisted of a donated office desk with a 3/4" MDF top.  I bolted an old RCBS press with it and resized about four rounds before it broke!

The Mk2 was built from some 1 1/2" THICK kitchen counter top and a set of office draws, with the counter top being reinforced with a 3/4" thick  6" wide oak plank under the front lip.

The over all bench was small only 48 long by 20" deep but was ok for reloading just a couple of calibers. Its main draw back was that I built it too low..Its just about ok to use when siting in a standard office chair, but the lack of height always annoyed me.

The Mk 3 bench is below..It about 66" wide 24" deep and 36" high...Its about as big as  I can go with the limited space I have in the  spare bedroom where its situated.

Again, its made from mostly recycled office furnature, only the top has placed on a layer of 4"x2" for extra strength and the draw units are raised on "plynths" to get the required height.

The pic below shows it just after it was built and its a bit more crowded now. One of these days I will add some shelves or cupboards above it...

As I only reload for a handful of rifles, this set up is plenty big enough for me. One day i intend getting into casting, but for that I will have a seperate open fronted   lean-to in the garden...

Pete E.. That's a novel way to mount your press!!! It saves a little space, and at the same time, looks like a stronger mounting....

After i broke the edge of the top on my first bench, i came up with this idea thinking it would be stronger.

It took a little measuring to get it such that the handle would still operate properly, but it works well...

When I bought the RC for use on my current bench, I was a little dissapointed when I realised that the compound lever system meant I couldn't mount it the same way

regards,

Peter

Wow   Some nice setups.   I was lucky to confiscate a spare bedroom for my use, along with an old desk and table that I adapted.  I don't have a lot of spare room, but it works well for me so far.

Well mine is in an outside utility building, it is climate controlled(heat and ac). When I first got it I thought, damn just look at all this room, now I wonder where is that room!
I'm not posting any pictures until I organize it and get it uncluttered.

My brass is on the bookshelves and primers and powder are in the old white microwave cart. The only new thing I have that is not in the pic is the hornady case prep center whick is mounted next to were my brass is on a steel pedastal bolted to the floor.

These pictures are awesome! The next time my wife gives me grief about my setup, I'm whipping one of these babies out to show her how life could have been! When I get home, I'll grab my camera and add my modest bench setup to this fine display of craftmanship.

Here is my "man cave" in the basement. My wife has the run of the place except in my beloved dungeon. That is off limits to anything decorative or "girly" in design. Yes I did clean it up before I snapped the photos.

The main press in the center is an old "texan" turret. It belonged to my Dad and it is what I learned on. Still works great and is my main reloading press. I have an RCBS rock chucker 2 but dont have it out. The black in color powder drop is an old Saeco that is the best powder drop I have ever used, cuts the long grain powder and is still accurate after all these years.

The powder scale is a oil dampner Redding, some people say it should be in a museum but it is the most accurate scale I own.

The cabinets are kraftmaid and they are expensive but I got them from an jobsite where the lady that ordered them didnt like the color. Well since they are semi-custom she was SOL so I took them with me and built a bench around them.  My shotgun presses are below.
