If anyone here is an Iraq or A-stan Vet,this is a good organization that does a lot of good on your behalf as a veteran.Especially wounded brothers and in dealing with political issues that effect veterans of these wars.
It is free to join.I joined it after reading about it in Iraq.
check their site out at least and see what they do.
If ya want to help returning soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines by donating. This organization and the USO are the two I would give to..

He has been there one day and his unit has already diffused two "boomers". He commented about all the sand--lol, I told him just to think about it as a very large beach with out water anywhere nearby. wc

I hate those kinds of beaches. Nary a Bikini anywhere to be found. Nor anything much else to look at either. Your eyeballs just sort of feel like sombody is "sanding" them down everytime you blink.

He took an extra pair of sunglasses and a set of field glasses--just in case there was some "girl watching" that needed to be done, wc

His mother walked through and I told her it was just a movie someone made. She gets mighty upset about things like that. She wanted to see his family pics I have stored the day he left. She spent a while crying about it. Will post his wife's farwell letter if it is OK with her. We need to remember the tremendous sacrifice the soldiers are making and their spouses/children/loved ones back home in our prayers. Hope this thing is over soon. wc
