Are you ready for the House Bill titled 'HR 45, Blair
Holt Licensing and Record Act of 2009'. It will make it illegal
to own a firearm unless it is registered with the database in
Washington D.C. As a gun owner you will have to be finger
printed, you will be required to provide your DL#, SS#, you must
maintain a valid address at all times, submit to mental and
physical health
records being put on file, you will also be required to file any
address changes and any ownership changes even if a private
sale. Each update will cost $25 and if you fail to comply you
will lose your right to own firearms. This bill and its language
mirror almost completely one defeated last year in the House of
Representatives by soon to be Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Will
we the citizenry be as lucky this time?

Not much different here than has been proposed and shot down before. Read the provisions, doubt it will stand constitutional muster. Not saying don't worry, but it isn't time to panic. Just keep working against stupid, ignorant bastards like Bobby Rush. Check hs record...

yo are right it has been shot down before....BUT look who controls the house the senate and the executive branch.
chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation and yet they have some of the highest gun related crimes. LOL seems to me that the stupid laws arent working...
like a criminal cares if he has to be fingerprinted...been there done that the last 5 times he was arrested!
lets punish the honest hard working american who wants to hunt and carry concealed for protection. WOW

In such a large set of possibilities, I think we need to band together with the NRA as a group, as well as write our Congressman/women and our Senators as individuals.

my father always told me don't go look for any fights BUT never let someone slap you or any other innocent without standing up. you might lose but you lose with honor.
this was a man who fought in korea as an underwater demolition instructor. spent 18 months in a pow camp and was tagged dead but wasnt!
to say the LEAST i believe and will fight for my RIGHT to own firearms!

I wonder if the police would still be looking for those thugs if they'd chosen to shoot up a cafe in which a few members of this forum were enjoying a cup of joe.
