" I was using a couple 50 grain Pyrodex pellets in it with No. 11 caps with good success when I started having failures to fire" Have had the same problems with most of my BP guns. There aint nothin like real Black Powder. With my long guns I have purchased and installed nipple conversion kits, that wil fire the other stuff okay. Its a lot more to get that pyrodex goin. On the other subject, I love the flintlocks, there awfull fun, and they take back to the bare essentials of shooting. A little harder though due to the few second wait on ignition, and sometimes cant see by the time it shoots due to smoke.
